Consulting in the context of majority/minority co-existence (emerging needs)

Chair: Mr. Dušan Ondrušek, trainer and consultant, PDCS, Slovak Republic
Trainer and consultant in the area of conflict transformation, collaborative planning and organizational development. From 1991 is directing PDCS. Educated as psychologist (Comenius University, Bratislava, 1980, PhD. 1989 in social psychology, postgraduate fellowship at Institute of Policy Studies at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore USA - civil society development, 1997). Worked as trainer/facilitator and consultant in 35 countries (mostly Central and Southern Europe, Central Asia and NIS) for diverse clients like OSCE, World bank, East-West Management Institute, World Learning, etc.
Author and co-author of four books (connected with the civil society development and civil rights education methodology) and over 30 published articles mostly on the topics: development of altruism, civil society, effectiveness of the trainings, cross-sector collaboration.

Tatiana Šišková, Asociace mediátorů, Czech Republic
Tatjana Siskova graduated from the Faculty of Arts (sociology-philosophy) at the Charles University (UK) in Prague in 1970. She studied sociology at the Columbia University in New York, USA, and completed a series of courses on conflict resolution and mediation led by American and European lecturers. She worked as a social curator to Romany citizens, as a researcher in the area of traffic sociology, public opinions, industry and culture. Since 1992 she has been cooperating with Partners Czech as an external lecturer and mediator. Since 2001 she has served as the chairwoman of the Association of Mediators in CR. She is also lecturing at the Department of Social Care at the FSV UK on topics closely linked to mediation and conflict resolution.

Kinga Novotná, Slovak Government Office, Department of Minority Issues, Human Rights and Communities, Slovakia
Works as a Sector Aid Coordinator (2000) and Project Coordination Department Director (2001) at the Section of Human Rights and Minorities of the Slovak Republic Government Office. She supervises PHARE and Transition Facility (EU funded) projects in the field of national minorities development and implementation of antidiscrimination legislation. Received education at the University of Constantine the Philosopher (Nitra, Slovak Republic, 1997), Middlesex University (London, United Kingdom, 1996), Central European University (Budapest, Hungary, 1998).

Lyudmila Atanassova, BCIF, Bulgaria
Graduate of Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Master Degree in Bulgarian Language and Literature. Graduate of London Metropolitan University, Sep 2001 – September 2003, Post-graduate Diploma in Social Development Practice. Founder of National Agency for Information and Legal Services.
Experience as a development practitioner, trainer and consultant in working with youth NPOs, Boards of trustees of children social homes; local community groups and community-based organizations. Basic areas of knowledge – project cycle management and evaluation; resource mobilisation, including application of modern schemes for individual and corporate giving; working with minorities; organisational development.

Marta Kulíková, Komunita – Miesto pre každého, Slovak Republic
Marta Kulikova works as a project coordinator for Association of Field Social Workers where she is responsible for education of FSW, in Civil Association Community - Place for Everyone, and participated on projects focused on dissemination of information, counseling, consulting, cross sector cooperation and coordination of activities in Kezmarok area, such as Information and Counselling Roma Center, Social - Law Counselling Centre. Having graduated the University of P. J. Safarik in Presov she devoted her efforts to Adults Education and Behaviour (so called Andragogy), and a number of courses allowed her to concentrate on improving crucial skills of non - profit organizations.
